Read Beyond the Beaten Path is the summer reading program for children from birth through fifth grade. Participants will receive a booklet and stickers, and will add a sticker to the booklet for each day they read, listen to, or look at a book for at least 15 minutes!
Once earning 25 stickers, participants will be entered into a drawing to win a $100 savings account at MAPs Credit Union. Once earning 50 stickers, participants will earn a certificate and a book, and they will be entered into the drawing a second time!
Find Your Path is the summer reading program for students entering sixth grade through graduating high school seniors. Registration is free! After registering, participants will receive a Keizer Community Library notebook to track time spent reading as well as additional reading activities.
Participants can come to the library with their notebook documenting their time spent reading that week and the reading activities they accomplished to get credit! Once earning four weeks of credit, participants will be entered into a drawing to win a $100 savings account at MAPs Credit Union. Once earning seven weeks of credit, participants will earn a book, and they will be entered into the drawing a second time!
Explore New Paths is the summer reading program for adults and seniors. Registration is free! After registering, participants will receive a booklet with a gameboard as well as the secret reading challenge for Week 1. Each week, participants earn a stamp in their booklet for completing the secret weekly challenge! Every week, there will be a new secret challenge for participants to collect. A challenge could be as easy as designing a bookmark, to as challenging as reading an entire book in one week!
Once earning five weeks of stamps, participants will be entered into a drawing to win a $25 gift card to the Book Bin. Once earning ten weeks of stamps, participants will earn a book, and they will be entered into the drawing a second time!
The drawings will take place on Saturday, September 10th, at 3:00 pm. The winners will be notified by telephone.
